Alarm Valves

Deluge alarm system is designed to extinguish fires in high-risk areas using water or foam. This system is particularly used in areas with hazardous materials, warehouses, aircraft hangars, and other high-risk locations. Deluge valves are divided into three types: wet pilot, dry pilot, and electrical activation, and are used with fire extinguishing heads such as open sprinkler heads, nozzles, and hot-foam generators. The system is activated by electrical triggering or the release of air or water in the pilot sprinklers, enabling the discharge of water or foam, and requires a manual discharge station. Installation is done with pressurized water or air, necessitating the control of fire pump pressures. Maintenance should be performed at 3 or 6-month intervals. These systems are critically important for quickly and effectively extinguishing fires in high-risk areas such as industrial facilities, factories, power plants, shopping centers, and parking lots.

Wet Alarm Valve

Wet alarm valves are fundamental components that ensure safety and control in fire suppression systems. Typically used in wet pipe sprinkler systems, these valves work by balancing air pressure with water pressure and are equipped with various mechanical adjustments. Designed for use in environments without freezing risks, these valves are responsible for regulating water flow, transmitting alarms, and sending signals to fire warning systems. When activated during a fire, these valves control water flow and, through a flow switch, detect water flow within the system, transmitting information to the fire indicator panel to facilitate fire intervention. They are particularly preferred in locations such as residences, hospitals, hotels, shopping centers, and dormitories.

Dry Alarm Valve

Dry Alarm Valve The dry pipe sprinkler system is used in unheated and frost-prone areas to prevent damage to the water and sprinklers in the fire suppression system. In this system, the pipes are filled with pressurized air or inert gas. When a fire occurs and the sprinklers activate, the air pressure drops, causing the dry alarm valve clapper to open, allowing water to flow and suppress the fire. The dry alarm valve is preferred in areas at risk of freezing, such as parking garages, warehouses, attic spaces, workshops, manufacturing facilities, hotels, waste collection centers, and shopping malls. The upper part of the valve is pressurized with air or gas, while the lower part is pressurized with water. The time for water to discharge from the most distant point in the system should not exceed 60 seconds.

Pre-Action Alarm Valve

Pre-action alarm valve operates on the principle that fire suppression is triggered not only by the activation of the sprinklers but also by the occurrence of a secondary event, utilizing additional detection systems. These valves are integral components of Single Interlock and Double Interlock pre-action sprinkler systems. In Single Interlock systems, the pre-action alarm valve opens and allows water to enter the pipe system only when the detection system is activated. In Double Interlock systems, the valve opens only when both the detection system is activated and the sprinkler is triggered. These valves are used in areas where accidental water discharge could cause significant damage, such as archives, computer rooms, libraries, and museums. The operating principle relies on selecting additional detection systems that activate earlier than the automatic sprinklers, ensuring a swift response to fires.
