Fire Extinguishing Principles

HFC-227ea is primarily used as the most effective solution in spaces containing electrical and electronic devices, as well as inhabited areas.

HFC-227ea gas extinguishes fires by breaking chemical reactions critical to the fire and absorbing heat energy.

After determining the required gas volume and hydraulic calculations for the protected spaces, an HFC-227ea infrastructure is established.

Upon activation of the detectors, current is sent from the panel to the HFC-227ea solenoid valve, and all HFC-227ea gas is discharged into the protected volume within a maximum of 10 seconds.

Chemical Formula

The chemical formula of HFC-227ea, which determines the gas, is Heptafluoropropane.

HFC-227ea gas is colorless and odorless, stored in cylinders at pressures of 25 and 42 bars.

Its applicability and usability stem from the liquid state of the gas, which, upon release through spray nozzles, vaporizes to form a layer on the combustible surface in the protected volume, preventing ignition.
